Parkside Garden
6 000 ft²
This generous urban garden backs onto the wooded paths and tennis courts of the neighborhood park. Before the redesign there was a large pool, bifurcated from the rest of the rear yard by an imposing estate fence. The project restored the pool, added a lounge with fire table and catenary lights hanging from small linden trees, as well as a custom-built spa, varied planting, and a play lawn. The second phase will feature the renovation of the existing garage to include a sauna, facing and accessible from the spa. The provincial requirements for self-closing and self-latching enclosures were addressed along the perimeter of the property to allow unity and cohesion of the space. This urban garden has become a coveted and well-loved social destination for the family, including their young adult children and many friends.
