Contemporary Event Barn
5 200 ft² building, 95 acre site
Located on a 95-acre wooded property in Morristown, VT, this modern barn is phase I of a larger years long residential project. Also included in phase I is a new entry drive, timber framed bridge, orchard, and pasture. The barn will contain traditional garage and storage spaces for equipment and tools, while also accommodating a beautifully daylit modern event space/ gallery, offices, guest quarters, lounge areas, a gear room, gym, and a golf simulator.
This multi-functional building serves as a gateway building for the larger property. RC's architects and landscape architects have worked closely with the client to site the building overlooking a protected wetland area to the west, miles long mountain views to the north, and easterly views to a beautifully detailed reclaimed granite event patio and grand arrival stair.
