Maison Winchester
1 000 pi²
Our client was raised in this beautiful 1890’s Westmount Victorian. When she inherited her childhood home, she and her family eagerly chose to move in and make it their own.
RobitailleCurtis was asked to modernize the kitchen while respecting the historic character and charm of the original house. RC developed a scheme to provide a more generous and fully modern kitchen, a new powder room, and a walk-in pantry. Site lines and alignments throughout the ground floor were improved. Ultimately, the entry hall was realigned, the powder room relocated, the dining room reduced in size, the kitchen enlarged, and the basement stair entirely relocated. The end result is a clean modern eat-in kitchen with generous work spaces that is connected to the rest of the ground floor and garden.
